Makro is searching for a Maintenance Manager that is HUMBLE, ENGAGED AND FOLLOWS THROUGH, to ensure all maintenance and services are completed in accordance with Makro standards to ensure efficient operations of the store.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintenance - building maintenance, electrical, refrigation and/or plumbing.
  • Health & Safety - Ensure H& S ruels/codes are adhered to by all staff, educate maintenance team of H& S standardsand all staff trained, maintain awareness of safety procedures with team.
  • Administration - Complete Expense Orders, complete pre-audit checklist daily, coordinating raising of Capex orders and obtain quotes relating to maintenance.
  • Shrinkage Control
  • Staff Management - management of maintenance staff
Candidate Requirements

Minimum Academic Requirements, Professional Qualifications and Experience:

  • For appointment to this managerial level you will have to succesfully have completed the Makro Retail Management Development Programme; or
  • Have the relevant and recognised relevant tertiary qualification; or
  • 3-5 years experience in similar role/environment.
