We are seeking a professional, experienced, and customer-focused Front Desk Attendant to join our hospitality team. This role is best suited to candidates with previous experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or premium hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing front office operations efficiently, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesGuest Services & ReceptionWelcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.Manage guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.Handle reservations, room allocations, and guest requests.Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.Resolve guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction at all times.Opera PMS & ReservationsProcess reservations, amendments, cancellations, and room assignments using Opera PMS.Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation records.Monitor room availability and occupancy levels.Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments.Prepare daily reports and maintain front office records.Front Office AdministrationHandle cash, card transactions, and reconciliations.Maintain accurate billing and guest account records.Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.Assist with switchboard operations and guest communications.Support the Front Office Manager with administrative duties.Guest Experience & Hospitality StandardsDeliver service in line with luxury hospitality standards.Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.Promote hotel facilities and services.Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Front Desk, Reception, or Front Office role within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Proven hands-on Opera PMS experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of front office procedures and hospitality operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings when required.
- Professional presentation and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Essential Screening Criteria
- Recent experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, lodge, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Practical working knowledge of Opera PMS.
- Proven front office or reception experience within hospitality.
- Strong guest relations and customer service skills.
- Candidates without Opera PMS experience or relevant hotel/lodge front office experience will not be considered.
Advantageous Skills
- Experience in luxury hospitality or game lodges.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and channel management.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Experience handling international guests.
- Hospitality or Tourism qualification.
