Our client an Engineering company in Paarl is looking for a Bookkeeper.

Requirements:
Matric with relevant qualifications
4-6 Years experience as a Bookkeeper
Excellent Administration experience
Excellent Reconciliation experience
Experience working on MS Office, M365, IQ Enterprise

Responsibilities:
Manage the full creditors function, including processing invoices, preparing reconciliations, liaising with suppliers, allocating payments, issuing remittances, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of subcontractor payments.
Perform daily bank processing and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Load and prepare payments for approval and release in accordance with company procedures.
Manage the debtors function by following up on outstanding payments, issuing statements, resolving customer queries, and processing sundry invoices.
Prepare and update cash flow reports in line with company procedures and within required deadlines.
Provide switchboard and general administrative support as required.
Scan, upload, and maintain documentation on Microsoft 365 to support a paperless filing system.
Maintain the accuracy of the General Ledger through reconciliations, monthly schedules, and journal processing, including insurance journals.
Administer the fixed asset register, calculate depreciation, and process related journal entries.
Perform VAT calculations and prepare VAT information for submission to the Finance Director.
Assist with stock control activities, including supporting the Sales team, participating in stock takes, and processing stock-related journal entries.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and reporting requirements.
