Job Title: Barista

Location: Port Elizabeth Central

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee-making and providing excellent customer service. The barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, as well as assisting customers in selecting the perfect beverage. The barista will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment and upholding company standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (e.g. espresso, cappuccino, latte, iced coffee) with precision and efficiency
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering any questions customers may have about our coffee selection
- Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including brewing equipment, work surfaces, and utensils
- Maintain stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other necessary supplies
- Uphold company standards of quality and presentation for all beverages served
- Cash handling and processing customer transactions accurately

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge and passion for coffee-making and the coffee industry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food Handler’s Certification (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
