We're a growing UK gas and heating company (team of 9, around 150 jobs per week) looking for a sharp, self-directed person to run our customer support and office coordination — fully remote from South Africa, supporting our UK customers during UK business hours.
You'll be the voice our customers hear and the hands that keep our diary full. This is not a cold-calling or sales role — no targets, no pitching. Just genuinely excellent customer support, the kind most trades companies never bother with. It's for someone who takes ownership, spots problems before they happen, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
What you'll do:
- Book and rebook customer appointments by phone and email — keep the engineer diary full
- Handle customer communications: confirmations, reports, invoices, quotes — clean, professional, fast
- Follow up after every job: request reviews from happy customers, resolve issues for unhappy ones
- Work across multiple job management platforms (full training provided)
- Source and order spare parts so engineers are ready for each job (full training provided)
- Spot inefficiencies and propose improvements — we have the IT resource to build your ideas
The setup:
- Fully remote, UK business hours (approx. 9am–5pm UK time, 1–2 hours behind SA)
- Flexible on days and times — do the school drop-off and start later, start early and finish early, take breaks during the day. As long as customers are covered and the work gets done, the schedule is yours to shape
- R20,000–R35,000 a month to start, billed through your own company. We're small and move fast, and we look after the people who make a difference — do great work and there's real room to grow here
- You'll need your own equipment and a fast, reliable internet connection to start. After a few weeks we can enhance your setup with large screens etc.
