Provincial Group, a well-established warehousing and logistics operation in Paarl, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Controller to join their operations team. This role is ideal for an energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within transport operations.

KPA’s include (but are not limited to): *Coordinate and allocate part loads and courier deliveries across various routes *Manage daily truck schedules, manifests, and waybill administration *Liaise with drivers, depots, and clients to ensure efficient operations *Support consolidation planning and transport system updates *Monitor courier movements and delivery performance *Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication *Contribute to achieving and improving operational turnover and gross profit targets *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Grade 12 (Matric);

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a transport, logistics, courier, or last-mile environment;

• Experience with transport planning, route coordination, and fleet operations;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport management systems (DataTim experience advantageous);

• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills;

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic operational environment;

• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence advantageous;

• Experience in the wine industry will be beneficial.

Advantageous:

• Courier or logistics technology platforms.

• POD (Proof of Delivery) workflows.

• Consolidation planning principles.

• Previous experience managing or improving turnover and GP targets.
