Overview

The Vice Principal Academic Operations is responsible for the efficient functioning of the academic operational processes on campus from the registration process through to graduation of a student. This includes all administration within scheduling and timetabling, assessments and student support functions. The objective is to enhance student experience and promote student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train and manage high performing academic operations teams to achieve organizational and campus objectives
• Recruitment, contracting and management of lecturers
• Oversee day-to-day operations on the relevant campus
• Develop and implement a more efficient and effective teaching and learning timetable for implementation at campus level
• Assessments – printing, timetabling, mark capture and verification
• Management of invigilators
• Administration including student files, communication platforms and timetabling
• Report on progress and issues efficiently and effectively into head office structures
• Ensure that the organisational and campus reputation and credibility is maintained to the highest standards across to the stakeholder groups towards student success
• Ensure teaching and learning, assessments, student retention, student success and student support are developed and implemented in line with campus requirements
• Supporting the principal in any, and all, campus activities and initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• A relevant postgraduate degree is advantageous
