Description
SSK is seeking a qualified candidate for a position in its Insurance office in the Western Cape. The core responsibilities of this position include all statutory responsibilities of a Key Individual regarding FAIS and FSCA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, COFI, and other applicable legislation.
• Provide strategic guidance to the short-term insurance division.
• Oversee the delivery of financial services and advice processes.
• Manage, mentor, and support key individuals, representatives, and administrative staff.
• Coordinating staff training and development, maintaining records, conducting scheduled evaluations, and conducting staff reviews.
• Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and client focus.
• Manage the branches’ capital and operating budgets, payments, reconciliations, reporting, service providers, and agreements.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum NQF Level 4 qualification and an RE 1 qualification.
• Previous experience in short-term insurance, while being bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• A strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements is needed.
• Proficiency in MS Office is essential, with particular emphasis on MS Excel.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, create charts, and perform data analysis.
• Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure, excellent communication skills, and strong numerical ability.
