TechMarkit is a dynamic technology retail and distribution business focused on delivering innovative products, exceptional customer experiences, and operational excellence. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded, and proactive Business Operations Coordinator to support key business initiatives and drive operational efficiency across the organisation.

The Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating projects, supporting procurement activities, and providing operational support to senior leadership. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, has strong commercial acumen, and is comfortable working with technology, data, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

You will be trusted to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the successful execution of business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate and track business projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, and progress updates to ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to drive accountability and project momentum.
  • Identify, monitor, and escalate project risks and challenges where necessary.
  • Document project outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the implementation of procurement initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Support supplier engagement and procurement-related projects.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, compliance documentation, and account setup processes.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval frameworks, and governance requirements.
  • Maintain organised and accurate procurement records and documentation.

Executive & Operational Support

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the General Manager and leadership team.
  • Review and summarise supplier agreements, contracts, and commercial documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders on behalf of management.
  • Conduct research and compile business insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
  • Track and follow up on actions arising from management meetings and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and operational reports using Excel and AI-powered productivity tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new tools, systems, and business processes where required.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom or equivalent commercial degree.
  • Minimum 2 years' professional work experience.
  • Strong understanding of technology products including smartphones, laptops, tablets, and operating systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and emerging workplace productivity technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within a retail, technology, distribution, or consumer electronics environment.
  • Exposure to procurement processes, supplier management, or ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting senior executives or management teams.
  • Project management certification or formal project management training.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, or vendor management practices.
