Our client is seeking a Geospatial Developer / GIS Developer to join their team in Midrand, Johannesburg. This role is suited to a technically skilled developer with experience in spatial systems and application development who is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Develop and maintain GIS-based applications in support of ArcGIS clients

•       Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions

•       Work on web-based development using JavaScript and/or Angular frameworks

•       Support database design and development across MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL

•       Contribute to application design, development, testing, and deployment

•       Estimate effort for development tasks and deliverables

•       Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate solution delivery

Requirements:

•       At least 2 years’ experience in C# development

•       Minimum 3 years’ experience in a spatial/GIS development environment

•       Experience in web development using JavaScript and/or Angular

•       Database experience (MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)

•       Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or equivalent

•       Strong communication and documentation skills

•       Ability to work under pressure in a team environment

Advantageous Experience:

•       Exposure to Agile tools and methodologies

•       Experience with Azure DevOps

•       Python development experience

•       Exposure to full project lifecycle delivery

•       Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, geodatabases)
