Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their IT team based in Woodmead on a hybrid working arrangement. This role is ideal for a technically strong infrastructure professional who can design, implement, and optimise complex cloud and hybrid systems while ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments

•       Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible

•       Manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes

•       Provision and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments

•       Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability across production systems

•       Implement observability solutions including logging, monitoring, and alerting

•       Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment and operational efficiency

•       Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks

Requirements:

•       Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role

•       Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI

•       Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

•       Strong containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes)

•       Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar

•       Solid understanding of cloud networking, compute, and storage concepts

•       Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management

Advantageous:

•       Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments

•       Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack

•       Knowledge of security, IAM, and network segmentation principles

•       Experience supporting high-availability distributed systems

•       Team leadership experience
