Employer: Regal Distributors SA (Pty) Ltd

Main Purpose

To service existing client base efficiently and professionally and to effectively target new business development within the said areas.

To consistently achieve targeted Goals and Objectives.

Ensuring the company successfully meets its sales and growth objectives.

 

Main duties:

·       Ensure sales targets are met.

·      Build portfolio of customers, both existing and new (Max of 40 to 60 Clients will be assigned)

·       Analyse and monitor purchase activities of each customer.

·       Monitor sales trends in the industry and amongst customers & provide feedback monthly.

·       Customer service excellence, focusing on the retention and churning of customers.

·       SOURCE NEW CUSTOMERS AND MAINTAIN EXISTING ONES

-       Your main goal is to significantly increase our sales figures through actively sourcing new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

-       To meet sales demand BY adhering to the minimum KPI performance standards as set below:

o   Minimum of 80 x House Account calls per month equating to 4 calls per day to existing House clients from within your regions, and to be reported on monthly.

o   Minimum of 20 x New Potential Client calls per month equating to 1 call per day to new clients within your regions, and to be reported on monthly.

o   Minimum of 60 x Quotes per month to New and Current Clients equating to 3 per day within your regions, and to be reported on monthly.

o   You are expected to visit your Portfolio clients regularly between 1 to 2 weeks a month to promote our products and visibility within your regions.

o   Registration of at least 1 to 2 Project’s per month within your regions and make sure all relevant registration and document is in place and to be reported on monthly.

o   To ensure a full product mixed gets offered to clients and to reach set goals for percentage of product expectation around full basket supply.

o   Ensure sales activity on portfolio stay above 80% monthly and to be reported on monthly on KPI report.

o   Ensure LOP/LOS reporting gets done on all lost sales on K8, will form part of monthly KPI reports and will be monitored.

o   Products Demo’s to be done at least 4 per month, equating to 1 product demo to a client per week to existing House & New clients from within your regions, and to be reported monthly.

o   At least 1 x Product training session and 4 x product Demo Fridays to be attend every month and to be reported on monthly.

o   Stock backorder report (SBO) to be cleaned monthly and to be reported on monthly.

-       You are required to assist with maintaining an accurate database of customers, their locations, and fields of business. (Full CRM Reports and maintained Data base)

-       Report regularly to management with regards to your progress and in accordance with the required format. (Utilizing your KPA Reports given monthly)

-       Report to management on your progress and findings after every trip or country visit you have done in accordance with the required format.

-       Generate all the necessary administration, and make sure all reports and recons is submitted to management on first Friday of every month.

 

·       Market Awareness

-       You are also required to assist management with ideas on promotional literature and newsletters and provide an informed view on types and frequency of marketing methods.

-       Advise management if discounting becomes necessary.

-       Monitor competitor pricing and product offerings, as well as patterns in customer requests and to be reported on monthly.

·       Telephone and Email Service

-       Ensure business like telephonic and email communication with customers.

-       Ensure timeous responses to emails and telephonic queries.

-       Provide prices on request and advise boxed quantities where possible.

-       Offer additional products and specials after the order has been placed (Upsell) and offer alternate products when the exact product is not in stock.

-       Advise management on product needs including monthly product projections and reporting on projects. (Forecasting)


Required Skills

  • Export Knowledge : 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients
    • Strategic thinking and cultural awareness to navigate diverse markets and business environments 
    • Proficiency in market analysis, sales forecasting, and business planning 
    • Knowledge of export regulations, logistics, and supply chain management 
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple departments
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields 
    • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or export management, preferably with international exposure.
    • Distributor management experience an advantage
    • Previous working experience with or within other African countries is an advantage
