Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and operational efficiency of the branch. This role combines commercial development, warehouse management, export coordination, reporting, and administrative oversight to ensure the successful operation of the business.
The Warehouse Manager is expected to drive branch growth by securing new business opportunities, building strong supplier relationships, and maximizing the effectiveness of commercial and marketing initiatives. In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring that all materials are correctly graded, processed, prepared for export, and managed in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, operationally strong, highly organized, and capable of leading teams while maintaining strict controls over stock, reporting, and branch operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Development & Client Relationship Management
· Identify and secure new suppliers, clients, and business opportunities to increase branch profitability and market share.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and strategic stakeholders.
· Manage and oversee company agents and ensure they operate effectively and in line with company objectives.
· Promote company services and ensure all marketing and promotional activities contribute to business growth.
· Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to expand sourcing and sales channels.
· Represent the company professionally in all commercial engagements.
2. Warehouse Operations, Material Grading & Team Management
· Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure materials are received, graded, processed, stored, and dispatched efficiently.
· Ensure materials are accurately identified, graded, cleaned, sorted, and prepared according to company and customer specifications.
· Maintain effective warehouse organization and stock control procedures.
· Develop, structure, and manage operational work teams to maximize productivity.
· Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and reliability.
· Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to warehouse staff.
· Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
3. Export Preparation & Logistics Coordination
· Manage all export preparation activities, ensuring materials are packed and prepared according to buyer and factory specifications.
· Oversee loading operations and ensure export shipments meet company, customer, and logistics requirements.
· Ensure all export documentation is completed accurately and timeously.
· Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and buyers to ensure smooth export processes.
· Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
4. Daily Reporting & Operational Controls
· Prepare and submit accurate daily reports on stock movement, material processing, purchases, sales, and cash flow.
· Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock records accurately reflect physical stock.
· Reconcile warehouse activities, purchases, and sales transactions.
· Report operational performance, risks, and opportunities to management.
· Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accountability across all operational processes.
5. Branch Representation, Administration & Accounting Support
· Act as the company representative within the branch and local market.
· Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, customers, service providers, and regulatory authorities.
· Oversee branch administration and ensure accurate record keeping.
· Support accounting processes by ensuring accurate documentation of purchases, sales, payments, and expenses.
· Assist with audits, stock verifications, compliance reviews, and management reporting.
· Ensure company policies, procedures, and governance requirements are adhered to at all times.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
· National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
· Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
· Valid driver's license.
Experience & Skills
· Proven experience in business development and supplier relationship management.
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and export procedures.
· Experience leading and managing operational teams.
· Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
· Good understanding of financial controls and reporting.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting systems.

Salary and Benefits
| Probation (3-months) | 2,500 USD / month. |
| After probation | 3,000 USD / month. |
| Commerce bonus | After mutually beneficial KPIs and based on business performance, a bonus will be considered based on extra kilograms gained on profitable material positions. |
| Housing | Provided by the company. |

Working Conditions
- Based in remote operational sites in DRC, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, or Zambia
- Requires relocation and frequent travel between sites
- Exposure to warehouse and industrial environments
- May require extended working hours depending on operational needs
