Eskom's Forensic Department is seeking a Forensic Legal Advisor / Expert Witness to provide the legal backbone to investigations — covering admissibility, criminal referrals, regulatory reporting and consequence management — and to give expert testimony.

This is a single admitted attorney/advocate position covering the legal backbone, reporting to the Forensic Investigations Project Lead.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise on the law of evidence, admissibility and legislative compliance throughout investigations.
• Register or open criminal cases and referrals within the relevant jurisdiction.
• Prepare section 34 PRECCA reports on behalf of Eskom.
• Support consequence management — civil litigation for loss recovery, regulatory compliance, criminal prosecution and disciplinary hearings.
• Identify Public Finance Management Act (Act 1 of 1999) violations and support their quantification.
• Provide expert testimony during litigation and disciplinary inquiries.
