EXSA, a highly successful fruit export company situated in Paarl (Western Cape), has a position available for a Technical & Quality Manager. The main focus of the role will be to lead the company's technical and quality functions across its producer network.

The ability to build strong relationships, provide technical leadership, and drive quality excellence throughout the supply chain are qualities of the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities will include: *Manage and lead the Technical and Quality teams *Provide production and quality updates across all operational areas *Coordinate technical sessions with breeding programmes, consultants, and industry specialists *Stakeholder relationship management, including producers, customers, packhouses, marketing teams, and other relevant role players *Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications, export requirements, and market standards *Oversee quality throughout the production, packing, and export process *Support audit, accreditation, and compliance processes *Provide technical support and guidance to producers *Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction *Ensure products are export-ready and aligned with market requirements *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Food Science, or a related field;

• Proven experience within the table grape industry is essential;

• Previous management experience within a technical and/or quality environment;

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel;

• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English;

• Willingness to travel between the Western Cape and Northern Cape;

• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
