An exciting opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join a finance team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily bank and cashbook reconciliations.
Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and assist with financial reports and reporting requirements.
Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Capture and reconcile financial transactions accurately.
Assist in maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Analyse financial information and identify discrepancies.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience advantageous.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Pastel Accounting software.
Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Afrikaans speaking white female.
