Candidate Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Supervising the monthly accounting department.
• Provide supervision, training and review of work produced by junior staff; delegate tasks and support staff development with self-confidence, self-motivation and a positive attitude.
• Supervision and training junior staff and SAIPA trainees.
• Manage the preparation and review of management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts for a client portfolio.
• Preparing and reviewing Annual Financial Statements using IFRS for SMEs
• Oversee and manage the timely submission of statutory returns.
• Assisting clients with accounting and software support
• Act as a primary client contact: build relationships, manage expectations, resolve queries and deliver exceptional client service via phone, email and virtual meetings.
• Work with practice systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, CCH) to maintain accurate client records and drive efficiencies through process improvements.
• Support statutory and regulatory compliance, ensuring deadlines are met and professional standards upheld.
• Contribute to ad-hoc advisory projects and assist managers and Directors with client-focused initiatives.
