JOB PURPOSE 

To assure the functionality and longevity of fishing nets in a manner that is both effective and
efficient, thereby contributing to the success of catches and long-term viability of the fishing
operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Duties include but not limited to:

• Crafting new fishing nets in an efficient and timely manner.
• To restore and maintain nets with efficiency and promptness.
• Efficient inventory management and replenishment.
• Interim administrative support.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

• Grade 10 or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in netmaking
• 3 years seafarer experience
• Safety focus
• Knot tying
• Handling tools
• Net Construction knowledge
• Inspection Skills
