Role: Project Manager Location: Office in Paarl, Western Cape but will involve client and site visits over South Africa Role DescriptionThe company provides facility design and project management services related to the fruit industry inclusive of cold storage, pack house and related infrastructure.  Key Responsibilities:Work will involve assisting the team with the facility design and planning process, including marketing and client visits, but will focus on: Develop project plans.Review and appointment of the professional team in consultation with the client team and stakeholdersSet up and managing communication and management systems required for the project executionCoordinate inputs from all stakeholders and communication with the appointed professional team.Manage design developmentImplement measures and design adjustments to ensure budget and timeline constraints are adhered toFacilitate integration and coordination between different disciplines of the professional team and design and supply contracts.Change management monitoring and controlManage tender process and appointment of contractorsPrepare and manage contracts (JBCC, etc.)Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, procurement requirements, and other legal/statutory requirements (MHI, etc.)Monitor construction progress and qualityArrange and manage site meetings and reporting.Manage and coordinate the project handover to the clientEnsure completion of final accounts and close out documentation. A percentage of the successful candidate’s time will also be spent on internal project management and coordination with the group of companies.  These companies design and manufacture equipment for the fruit industry.  Requirements: Degree in the built environment (Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Architecture)3-5 years relevant experience.Microsoft Office experience (especially Excel, Word).Experience in project management software (mainly MS Project)Experience with the tender...

• 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Microsoft Office experience (especially Excel, Word).
• Experience in project management software (mainly MS Project)
• Experience with the tender process
• Experience in contract administration (mainly JBCC).
• BIM experience advantageous
• Experience with Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC) for digital coordination and collaboration will be an advantage
