Candidate Requirements

Responsibilities:

•        Ensure the audit team complies with firm policies, audit methodology, auditing standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

•        Identify, address, and assist in mitigating client, engagement, and audit risks.

•        Assist with audit planning, including client risk assessment, preliminary analytical procedures, preparation of planning documentation, identification of key audit areas, coordination of audit timelines, and client information requests.

•        Identify audit risks and develop appropriate audit procedures in consultation with the Audit Manager / Partner.

•        Integrate best practices into audit programs and ensure audit work is performed efficiently and to the required quality standard.

•        Manage the delivery of audit work performed by the audit team and report progress regularly to the Audit Manager / Partner.

•        Review work performed by audit team members and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback where necessary.

•        Ensure audits are completed within agreed deadlines.

•        Ensure audit files are completed, reviewed, and locked down within the required timeframe.

•        Assist with the preparation of management letters, audit findings, and recommendations.

•        Liaise with Audit Managers and Partners on key audit issues, client matters, and engagement progress.

•        Demonstrate a sound and in-depth understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles, firm methodology, and client-specific risks.

•        Mentor, nurture, and guide team members by sharing knowledge and expertise on an ongoing basis.

•        Assist with or present formal internal training as required.

•        Act as a role model and encourage team members to uphold the firm’s values and professional standards.
