INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ASSOCIATEBOLANDMARKET RELATED SALARY, BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Key areas of responsibility include in South Africa and foreign territories:

At least 2 years post-articles experience in IP essential
LLB degree, Admitted attorney
Passed SAIIPPL exams
Trade mark clearance searches
Prosecution of trade mark applications
Assignments and amendments of trade marks
Enforcement of trade mark and copyright matters
Trade mark oppositions before the relevant registries and the High Court
Commercial and transactional IP including co-existence agreements and licences
Company name disputes
Domain name disputes and administration
Conduct legal research and provide opinions on intellectual property issues
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong drafting skills
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
Maintain confidentiality
Reliability and self motivation and ability to work on their own and in a team
Excellent organisational skills
Provide exceptional client service
