A highly respected and rapidly expanding cost consultancy is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to strengthen its growing construction team in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

• Provide full professional quantity surveying services from project inception through to final account.
• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, budgets, and cost plans.
• Manage tender documentation, procurement processes, and contract administration.
• Monitor project costs, cash flows, and financial reporting.
• Conduct valuations, variation assessments, and final account negotiations.
• Advise clients on cost management strategies and project financial performance.
• Attend client, consultant, and contractor meetings.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and contractual requirements.
• Mentor and support junior quantity surveying staff where required.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc/BTech Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with the relevant professional body.
• Minimum 5–10 years' post-registration experience within a professional quantity surveying consultancy environment.
• Proven experience on commercial, residential, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
• Excellent report writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard quantity surveying software.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to attend project and client meetings.
