Employer: Placement Point (Pty) Ltd
A well established firm of Registered Auditors and Chartered Accountants are looking for a Tax Administrator.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 year’ experience in corporate tax
· Registered with a professional body and SARS as a Tax Practitioner
· Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax, provisional tax, VAT and PAYE
· Proven experience in preparing and filing income tax returns
· Proficiency in SARS eFiling and related tax systems
· Relevant tax or finance qualification
Skills and Experience:
· Strong understanding of South African corporate tax legislation and SARS processes
· Advanced tax return preparation and review skills
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong communication and client service skills
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities
· Ability to manage multiple engagement and deadlines in a high-pressure environment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with management
· Proficiency in SARS e’filing
· Proficiency in Greatsoft Tax (Preferable)
Computer systems: Proficiency in SARS eFiling and Proficiency in Greatsoft Tax (Preferable)
Candidate Requirements
Responsibilities:
· Manage the full corporate tax compliance process for multiple companies across various industries
· Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and supporting schedules
· Prepare and calculate provisional tax submissions for companies
· Apply knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and Dividends Tax where applicable
· Handle SARS interactions, including verifications, audits, objections, and technical queries
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and company tax records
· Monitor and manage all tax-related deadlines to ensure full compliance
· Liaise with clients, internal teams, and SARS to resolve queries and obtain required information
· Identify risks or irregularities and escalate complex matters to management
· Support Tax Managers with technical queries, tax planning, and corporate tax reviews
· Review work performed by junior staff and provided guidance and mentorship
· Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, processes, and departmental efficiency
· Provide support on basic individual and trust tax matters where required
