1. Purpose of the Role

KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCE
To provide electrical services on site with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs,
installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1. Electrical Maintenance
- Analyse blue prints and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
- Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventative maintenance.
- Repair electrical components and/or systems (eg. motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, kitchen equipment, etc).
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
- Prepare written materials such as repair status and activity logs for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
2.2. Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality Compliance
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Comply with health and safety procedures.
- Ensure all HSE safety regulations are adhered to by all employees.
- Maintain and enforce safety procedures, including all lockout and safe work procedures.
- Maintain direct working relationship with HSE officers and maintenance team.
- Participate in the continuing development of transparent health and safety systems and procedures.
- Commit to the growth and maintenance of a positive risk management culture and assist staff where necessary.
- Support health and safety training initiatives and delver components where appropriate.
- Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committees.
2.3. Effective Teamwork and Self-Management
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising and self-development.
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
