We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wire Harness & Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting wire harness design activities, improving manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring production efficiency, quality, and cost control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

Manage the Engineering Team
Read and create schematics
Reverse engineering harness to create a full Bill of Material
Create full Bill of Material from a layout drawing and schematics
Create schematic layout sample or harness layout drawings
Create drawings on harness designe software, Company uses Arcadia
Assist Sales with RFQ's
Assist with any CAD drawings as and when required
Mantain and/or create Engineering procedures
Mantain and/or create Training Manuals on the Harness Manufacturing Process as well as any tools and equipment used
Mantain and adjure to mantainance schedule for Harness manufacturing equipment
Audit Bill of Materials, cutting sheets, splicing sheets before it goes out to production and ensure they are done in line withe production schedule
Manage any on going or internal projects that needs to be completed
Create yearly, monthly budgets for the engineering department
Conduct KPI's for the Engineeting Department
Visit clients from time to time, especially on the Kick-off of a new project
Mantain production process and procedures

Required Skills

Microsoft Excel: 3 to 4 years
Microsoft Powerpoint: 3 to 4 years
Microsoft Word: 3 to 4 years
Microsoft Teams: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Firm understanding of harnesses and harness components

The ability to read and create schematics

The ability to identify electrical components

The ability to make recommendations on alternative components where needed

The ability to reverse engineer harnesses

The ability to create wire lists/cutting sheets for manufacturing

The ability to create harness layouts based on a harness sample

A good understanding on the equipment and tools needed to manufacture a harness

The abiltiy to give training on harness manufacturing tools and equipment

The ability to give training on harness and harness manufacturing process

Ability to keep track and mantain and assist registry

Have firm understanding of ISO:9001
