A leading engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer for their Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will be a professionally registered engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical building services and renewable energy systems. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing projects independently while maintaining high technical and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver electrical engineering designs for a variety of building services projects
Prepare technical specifications, reports, and contract documentation
Design and coordinate electronic building services systems
Develop energy-efficient electrical solutions and renewable energy designs
Manage projects through all stages, from concept design to final handover
Ensure compliance with SANS regulations and client requirements
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Support construction monitoring and contract administration activities

Candidate Requirements

BEng or BSc qualification in Electrical Engineering
ECSA registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer
Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in electrical engineering design and project management
Experience within commercial, retail, residential, institutional, or healthcare projects
Knowledge of rooftop PV, solar, and energy storage systems advantageous
Familiarity with GCC, JBCC, NEC, and related contracts beneficial
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux/Ulysse, Reticmaster/Powamaster, MS Office, and MS Project
