The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the following key areas:
- Operational planning and coordination

Operational Planning and Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all daily operations within the company.
- Ensure projects are scheduled, resourced, and executed according to timelines and client requirements.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and adjust plans where needed to meet deadlines.
- Allocate teams and equipment effectively across multiple projects.
2Production Management Oversight
- Support Floor / Technical Managers in planning, execution, and close-out of electrical projects.
- Monitor budgets, work progress, and project deliverables to ensure compliance with contract scope of work.
- Ensure all installations meet engineering specifications, SANS standards, and client expectations.
- Review and approve production reports, drawings, and handover documentation.
Health, Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Ensure company compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to ISO / Quality Management Systems (where applicable).
- Manage toolbox talks, incident reporting, and corrective action plans.
Resource and Workforce Management
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment input and performance evaluations.
- Foster teamwork, professional conduct, and continuous improvement.
Financial and Cost Control
- Monitor production costs and operational expenses to ensure profitability.
- Assist with budget planning, cash-flow monitoring, and production costing.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Reporting and Administration
- Prepare operational reports for management, including project status and workforce updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and file control.
- Implement and manage CRM, ERP, and job costing systems while ensuring production tracking data is accurately maintained and regularly updated.
- Support internal audits and provide relevant data when required.
- Forward rate of invoicing predictions
Strategic Improvement and Business Growth
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Contribute to company strategy, pricing models, and service offering development.
- Champion innovation, new technologies, and improved engineering methods.
- Drive systems automation improvements to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve data accuracy across business processes

Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Production Management, Operations Management, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field.
- Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
- Health & Safety qualification (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- ISO / Quality Management certification or experience will be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience Required
- Minimum 8–15 years’ experience in a manufacturing, engineering, electrical, or production environment.
- Minimum 8–15years’ management experience overseeing production teams and operational processes.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, production schedules, and operational workflows simultaneously.
- Experience with electrical installations, engineering projects, or technical production environments.
- Experience working with budgets, cost control, and production costing.
- Experience implementing and managing ERP, CRM, job costing, or production tracking systems.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, SANS standards, and quality compliance requirements.
- Experience with workforce planning, staff supervision, and performance management.
