About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team, with a primary focus on menu innovation, cost management, and food quality. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary professional aiming to create an exceptional dining experience while ensuring the operational efficiency of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative and seasonal menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.
- Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation and taste.
- Collaborate with management to plan event menus and execute catering requests efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and assist with cost control measures to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an Executive Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within a diverse and high-volume kitchen environment.
- Exceptional culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques, food trends, and dietary restrictions.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience in managing and developing kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a solid understanding of kitchen operations and management.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary school.
- Experience in menu development and cost control in a multi-outlet kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and special diets, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen management.
- Familiarity with modern kitchen technology and equipment, including point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
