A company in the agricultural sector is seeking an experienced Research & Development Manager to lead the development of innovative fertilizer products and oversee research projects across laboratory, greenhouse, and field trial environments. The role focuses on product innovation, process optimisation, scientific research, and team leadership to support business growth and market competitiveness.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Plant Physiology, Chemistry, Agronomy, or related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience within the agriculture industry
At least 5 years’ experience managing or leading teams
Strong experience in fertilizer product development and research
Experience with laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials
Strong project management, analytical, and reporting skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
Knowledge of product registration processes and SOP development advantageous
Afrikaans and English proficiency beneficial
