About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in the East Region. This role will focus on managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a vital role in maintaining financial health and providing insights that support strategic decision-making for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly financial analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting policies, standards, and statutory regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information needed for decision-making.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in managing financial risks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar accounting role, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven track record in managing financial documentation and ensuring accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with taxation regulations and compliance in South Africa.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software tools.
