We are hiring an External Shipping Sales Reefer Specialist to join our team in Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

Matric
Tertiary qualification in Maritime studies / Import / Export advantages
Minimum of 3 years experience in shipping environment in sales or similar.
Extensive knowledge of Reefer clients and market
Knowledge of steri shipments/ PPECB/ reefer insurance claims
Tertiary qualification in maritime studies/ import, export and/ or similar will be a great advantage
At least 1 year experience in reefer market sales
Valid drivers license
Client visits
New business development, identify and secure new clients
Client retention by maintain existing relationships
Filing and checking of SQs
Freight applications: Apply for rates, routings, feeder space, waivers, etc.
Provide customers with freight rate quotations
Provide customer support, i.e. handling of shipment and service queries if required.
Liaise with Principal on BIZ matters
Share guidelines, notices, sailing schedules
Database updates
Work on tenders and freight contracts negotiations
