Candidate Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Processing: Capture, categorize, and reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices, and customer invoices across various client accounts.

• Accounts Receivable: Manage debtor age analysis, issue client invoices/statements, and assist with basic credit control and payment follow-ups.

• Accounts Payable: Maintain accurate creditor ledgers, reconcile supplier statements, and prepare weekly/monthly payment batches.

• Data Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet, petty cash, and credit card ledger reconciliations to ensure 100% data accuracy.

• Trial Balance Preparation: Clean up and maintain general ledgers to prepare accurate books up to the Trial Balance stage for CFO review.

• Client Communication: Liaise professionally with SME clients to gather necessary financial documents and resolve transactional queries smoothly.

   

  Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: National Diploma in Bookkeeping, Financial Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of solid bookkeeping experience, preferably dealing with multiple clients or working within an accounting firm environment.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong, practical experience with cloud accounting platforms like Xero or Sage Business Cloud. Solid proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of managing time efficiently across different client profiles. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
