Main Purpose of Job
This role is instrumental in providing expert clinical application support and ensuring the successful adoption and optimal use of our products on the market.
Through specialized guidance, training, and on‑site support, the Clinical Application Specialist contributes to improved clinical outcomes and customer confidence, ultimately making a meaningful impact within the healthcare sector.
The Clinical Application Specialist is required to have extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in whole blood collection, platelet and plasma apheresis, and therapeutic applications, enabling them to support customers effectively across clinical and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Application Support
Provide expert clinical application support to healthcare professionals and distributors on the safe and effective use of transfusion technology, including whole blood collection, platelet and plasma apheresis, and therapeutic procedures.
Deliver hands‑on clinical training, in‑service sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations for customers and internal teams.
Support customer implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of systems to ensure correct clinical practice and adherence to protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve clinical and technical application issues related to product usage, escalating where required.
Develop, maintain, and deliver educational and training materials aligned to approved clinical use and labelling.
Customer Engagement and Clinical Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key clinical stakeholders, transfusion services, and distributors.
Act as a trusted clinical liaison between customers and the company to ensure clinical needs, questions, and concerns are addressed effectively.
Gather clinical feedback from customers and share insights internally to support continuous improvement and training needs. Support customer satisfaction through responsive, professional, and solution‑oriented clinical engagement.
Customer Support and Territory Coverage
Schedule and conduct planned site visits, clinical trainings, and support sessions within the assigned territory or customer base.
Provide on‑site and remote clinical support to both existing and new customers as required.
Support clinical evaluations, trials, and onboarding of new customers from a clinical application perspective.
Clinical Knowledge and Training
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of transfusion technology applications, clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Stay informed of developments in transfusion medicine, clinical standards, and competitive clinical practices through literature review and internal collaboration.
Prepare and present clinical training materials and updates as required.
Support internal knowledge sharing by contributing to training sessions and clinical discussions.
Compliance and Professional Conduct
Comply with all company policies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Work standard hours from 08:00 to 16:30, with flexibility to perform duties outside normal hours when required to support clinical activities.
Attend training sessions, workshops, meetings, and conferences. Ensure all clinical activities are conducted in line with ethical, professional, and compliance standards.
Communication
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Ensure communication is clear, unambiguous, and tailored to the target audience, using methods appropriate to the work context.
Develop and maintain business relationships with current customers. Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Administration and Reporting
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions, training sessions, and site visits in Salesforce.
Complete daily call reports and maintain weekly and monthly call planning in Salesforce.
Compile required reports related to clinical activities, training, and customer support as requested.
Financial and Resource Responsibility
Support effective use of allocated resources and manage travel and expense submissions in line with company policies.
Contribute to efficient use of budgets related to clinical training and support activities.

Candidate Requirements
Education: Formal QualificationsRequired Level of Education
Degree / Diploma or a qualification in Transfusion Cellular Technology, Medical Technology or Nursing.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or clinical application in the whole blood collection, platelet plasma apheresis, and therapeutics sector.
Strong understanding of the blood collection and apheresis market, including industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong verbal communication skills & good interpersonal skills
