Product and Business Development Manager -Olympus (GI, Respiratory, EndoTherapy, Infection Prevention & Capital Equipment)
Job Purpose:
To drive product strategy, market development, and commercial enablement for Olympus GI, Respiratory, EndoTherapy, Infection Prevention, and Capital Equipment portfolios. The role focuses on translating market insights into actionable strategies, supporting sales execution, and ensuring successful product positioning, launches, and lifecycle management.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
Product Management & Lifecycle:
Manage the full product lifecycle from introduction to phase-out.
Drive product positioning, pricing strategies, and value propositions.
Support forecasting, demand planning, and portfolio optimisation.
Ensure alignment with global product strategies and local market needs.
Market Analysis & Business Development:
Conduct market research, segmentation, and opportunity analysis.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and positioning.
Identify new business opportunities and growth areas within the portfolio.
Develop business cases for new products and solutions.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with commercial objectives.
Drive campaigns, promotions, and product awareness initiatives.
Coordinate participation in congresses, workshops, and industry events.
Sales Enablement & Support:
Work closely with Sales Managers and Representatives to support execution.
Provide product training, tools, and technical support to the sales team.
Support key customer engagements and strategic accounts where required.
Ensure sales teams are equipped to effectively position solutions.
Product Launch & Innovation:
Lead and coordinate new product launches and roll-outs.
Drive adoption of new technologies and solutions.
Collaborate with global teams on innovation and pipeline products.
Ensure successful market entry and uptake.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and institutions to gather insights.
Support clinical education and training initiatives.
Build relationships to strengthen product positioning and credibility.
Engaging with, building and maintaining relationships with the relevant clinical societies
Operational & Compliance Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate product forecasting and reporting.
Maintain compliance with regulatory, quality, and company standards.
Support tender processes with product and market input

Candidate Requirements
Requirements:Degree in Medical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, or Business or equivalent relevant experience.
Postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Marketing, or MBA advantageous.
Clinical background advantageous.
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in medical devices, healthcare marketing, or product management.
Experience in endoscopy, infection prevention, or capital equipment advantageous.
Proven experience in product lifecycle management, marketing strategy, and product launches.
Experience working closely with sales teams and supporting commercial execution.
Exposure to market analysis, competitor intelligence, and customer insights.
Strong understanding of healthcare systems and procurement environments.
Ability to travel nationally to support product launches, training, and customer engagement.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability.
Valid Drivers’s lice
Knowledge:
