The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, resilience, performance, and security of enterprise infrastructure platforms spanning on-premises data centres, Azure, Azure VMware Solutions (AVS), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

The Opportunity

• Lead the operational governance, optimisation, and resilience of enterprise hybrid infrastructure platforms across on-premises and cloud environments
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, risk, and operational leadership teams to ensure highly available, secure, and compliant infrastructure services supporting mission-critical workloads

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise hybrid infrastructure operations across data centre, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud platforms
• Ensure high availability, operational resilience, and performance across VMware, Azure AVS, Azure IaaS, and Oracle OCI environments
• Drive proactive monitoring, operational governance, incident management, and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Act as senior escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents and operational recovery processes
• Oversee VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi clusters, vSAN, HCX migrations, and VM lifecycle management
• Manage storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery readiness across enterprise environments
• Ensure patching, vulnerability remediation, compliance, and operational controls are maintained across infrastructure platforms
• Partner with cybersecurity, cloud, risk, and audit teams to strengthen operational resilience and governance
• Lead infrastructure operations teams across multiple technology domains and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships and operational delivery across major infrastructure and cloud providers

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' experience within enterprise infrastructure operations and hybrid cloud environments
• Extensive leadership experience managing mission-critical infrastructure operations
• Strong expertise across VMware, Azure AVS, Azure IaaS, Oracle OCI, storage, backup, and virtualization platforms
• Experience supporting highly regulated or financial services environments advantageous
• Strong incident management, operational governance, and resilience capability
• Ability to operate effectively within high-pressure, enterprise-scale environments

Preferred Certifications

• VMware VCP-DCV
• Microsoft Azure Certifications (AZ-900 / AZ-104 / AZ-305)
• ITIL Foundation
• Terraform Associate
• Oracle OCI Certifications
• ISO 27001 or related security certifications advantageous
