Employer: Prestige Partners Consulting
Job Description: Social Media Team Leader Prestige Partners Consulting Ltd
About the role
*All training will be provided*
We are looking for a Social Media Team Leader to run the day-to-day output of our marketing and promotion department. You will own the social media engine across our managed creators, lead a team of editors and posting VAs, and make sure every creator on our roster has a clear weekly content plan, consistent posting, and measurable growth on Instagram, TikTok, X and other relevant platforms.
This is a leadership role, not a posting role. You will not be the one editing every reel or scheduling every post. You will be the person making sure the team executing those tasks is doing them to standard, on time, and with creator outcomes in mind.
What you will own
1. Weekly content planning across the roster
2. Posting infrastructure and consistency
3. Team leadership
4. Performance tracking and weekly reporting
5. Creator-facing communication on social media
6. Account safety and platform health
What you need to bring
- Proven leadership experience running a social media or content team of at least five people.
- Direct hands-on experience with short-form video. You have either edited it yourself, briefed editors against tight specs, or built a content engine that produces it at volume.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok algorithms, growth tactics, and account safety protocols.
- Comfort with KPI tracking, weekly reporting, and data-led decision making.
- Fluent British English writing ability.
- Reliable, fast communication across Slack and WhatsApp during agreed working hours.
Nice to have
- OFM industry experience. You have worked at a creator management agency, run creator pages directly, or supported creators in a marketing capacity.
- Familiarity with our specific tools: Later.com, AdsPower, Infloww, Apify, Meta Business Suite.
- Hands-on CapCut or Captions.ai editing skill (you will not be doing this day to day, but knowing the craft makes you a better leader of editors).
- Experience with paid social or influencer marketing in adjacent industries.
Working arrangement
- Role type: Full-time.
- Location: Remote.
- Hours: Core overlap hours to be agreed across UK and team time zones. Realistic on-call expectation for account emergencies (account suspensions, posting failures).
- Direct reports: Editors, Posting VAs, and any other social media support staff currently on the team.
- Compensation: Competitive base plus performance bonus tied to creator KPIs and retention. Specifics discussed at offer stage.
fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in South Africa

Candidate Requirements
Who you are
- You have run a social media team before, ideally in the creator economy, influencer marketing, or paid social space. You know what good looks like across short-form video, carousels, and stories.
- You have a sharp content eye. You can watch ten reels and tell us why three of them are going to do numbers and the other seven are not.
- You understand short-form algorithms. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Hooks, retention, watch time, distribution patterns, the lot.
- You are organised. You can manage a team across time zones, hold people to deadlines, and run a weekly cadence without dropping the ball.
- You are comfortable with data. KPI tracking, weekly reporting, retention curves, and revenue attribution do not scare you.
- You can take feedback fast and adjust without ego. Equally, you can give feedback to your team without softening it into uselessness.
- You are English fluent in writing. Captions, scripts, and creator briefs need to read naturally.
