TopFruit, situated in Simondium (Paarl), has a position available for an Operations Coordinator to join their growing team.
The main focus of the role will be coordinating and executing the operational, commercial contractual, financial, and administrative functions for TopFruit’s Berry Business Unit under the guidance of the Berry Business Unit Manager.
The successful candidate is a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in close coordination with other team members. Furthermore, the incumbent has strong planning and problem-solving skills, and exhibits a strong sense of ownership and accountability. In addition, strong numerical and analytical skills are essential, together with exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): *Coordinating commercial, contractual and financial administrative processes *Assisting with budgeting, reporting and related financial administrative processes *Processing, capturing and analysing operational, sales and harvest data *Capturing and invoicing of nursery plant orders and fruit sales royalties *Assisting with year-end reconciliations and financial administrative processes *Coordinating and administering licensing and contracting processes *Coordinating and administering all plant orders and exports of plant material *Maintaining effective communication with nurseries, growers, exporters, plant breeders and related stakeholders *Supporting the operational coordination of the berry growing programme *All other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant degree (Commerce, Agriculture, Business Management, Logistics, Financial Management or a related field);
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to the operational and financial responsibilities listed;
• Experience working in the South African fruit industry is a prerequisite;
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and data capturing and analysing programs;
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English (written & verbal);
• Valid driver's license & own reliable transport.
