Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd. is an established commercial agricultural enterprise, specialising in the cultivation of fresh fruit and vegetables. Laastedrif is based in Ceres and serves a range of local supermarkets as well as international markets.

Laastedrif has the abovementioned position available for a Production Manager with strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to build and maintain good relationships. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure, be performance- and quality-driven, demonstrate a proactive approach, and has the ability to think independently.

The suitable candidate will report to the Farm Manager and will be responsible for: *Production unit and productivity management (from planting through to harvest, including irrigation, fertilisation, crop protection) *Overall planning and coordination of production activities, working closely with the Farm Manager *Monitoring production and orchard performance *Workforce management *Assisting with implementation of budgets and cost control measures *Recordkeeping and reporting *Management and implementation of best farming practices, required standards, and certifications *All other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Relevant qualification in Agriculture;

• Approximately 2–5 years’ practical experience in the cultivation of apples and pears;

• Proven knowledge & experience with cost management;

• Strong computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel);

• Good labour relations knowledge;

• Willingness to work after hours as per industry requirements.

Laastedrif het die bogenoemde posisie beskikbaar vir 'n Produksiebestuurder met sterk beplanning, tydsbestuur en probleemoplossingsvaardighede, gekombineer met die vermoë om goeie verhoudings te bou en te handhaaf. Die geskikte kandidaat sal aan die Plaasbestuurder rapporteer en verantwoordelik wees vir: *Produksie-eenheid en produktiwiteitsbestuur (van plant tot oes, insluitend besproeiing, bemesting, gewasbeskerming) *Algehele beplanning en koördinering van produksieaktiwiteite, in noue samewerking met die Plaasbestuurder *Monitering van produksie en boordprestasie *Werksmagbestuur *Hulp met die implementering van begrotings en kostebeheermaatreëls *Rekordhouding en verslagdoening *Bestuur en implementering van beste boerderypraktyke, vereiste standaarde, en sertifikate *Alle ander take wat met die posisie verband hou.

Noodsaaklike kwalifikasies, vaardighede en ervaring:

• Relevante kwalifikasie in Landbou;

• Ongeveer 2–5 jaar praktiese ondervinding in die produksie van appels en pere;

• Bewese kennis en ervaring met kostebestuur;

• Sterk rekenaarvaardighede (MS Office, spesifiek Excel);

• Goeie kennis van arbeidsverhoudinge;

• Bereidwilligheid om na ure te werk volgens bedryfsvereistes.
