A leading player in the Roof Tiling sector is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically sound leader to oversee critical maintenance operations and ensure optimal plant availability within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

• Preventative Maintenance: Oversee the implementation and execution of preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

• Hands on approach: Must be willing and able to conduct the work as well as lead a team. Technical experience a must
  

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Lead the team in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical faults on high-speed production machinery.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

• Resource Management: Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.

• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability and maintenance costs.

Requirements:

• Education: A completed 4-year apprenticeship and a valid Trade Test (Fitter).

• Experience: Proven experience working within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.

• Leadership: Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience is essential.

• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse technical team under pressure.
