Financial Planner (Estate Planning) | Pretoria or Cape Town

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Financial Planner specializing in Estate Planning to join a premier wealth management division. This role is essential for supporting Wealth Managers and Advisors by compiling comprehensive estate and risk proposals and ensuring the strategic implementation of financial planning instructions.

Key Performance Areas:

• Estate & Risk Analysis: Prepare comprehensive estate and risk analyses, highlighting tax implications in the event of death or regarding risk benefits.

• Financial Modeling: Consolidate policies and investments to perform complex financial calculations, identifying potential capital and income shortfalls.

• Strategic Planning: Identify appropriate investment vehicles and structures specifically designed to minimize estate duty for clients.

• Report Drafting: Draft detailed reports including estate plans, tax implication summaries, and annexures as directed by the Wealth Planner.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with Investment Consultants, External Brokers, and internal Financial Advisors to align on client strategies.

• Legislative Monitoring: Monitor and track changes in legislation relevant to estate planning to ensure all recommendations remain compliant and optimized.

Requirements:

• Education: A financial degree (e.g., BCom Finance, Accounting, or Investment Management) is essential.

• Professional Designation: A Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and registration as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is essential.

• Experience: More than 3 years of dedicated Estate Planning experience.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required, with experience in Elite Wealth considered highly advantageous.

• Languages: Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans is required.

• Advantageous: An Advanced Diploma in Estate Planning is a plus.

Position Details:

• Location: Pretoria or Cape Town.

• Employment Type: Permanent.

• Turnaround: Ability to maintain a 3-business-day lead time for the preparation of investment reports and proposals.
