Our client, Sensitech Southern Africa, a leader in supply chain visibility solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of the company’s full accounting function.
The incumbent will be based in Somerset West and will be reporting to the General Manager. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and confident stepping into a leadership role where they can provide direction, resolve queries, and ensure accuracy across the finance function.
Responsibilities will include: *Full bookkeeping function up to balance sheet and audit-ready stage *Managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger *Providing guidance and support to the finance team *Reviewing and approving credit notes and key transactions *Processing and managing payroll on Pastel Payroll *Handling monthly statutory submissions *Managing multi-currency transactions within Pastel *Performing reconciliations *Maintaining accurate financial records *Supporting HR administration *Assisting with financial reporting and maintaining internal controls *All other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification, with at least 5 years’ experience managing the full function, OR;
• 10 years’ relevant experience supported by short courses;
• Proficient in Pastel (Sage 50) and Pastel Payroll;
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel;
• Solid understanding of statutory submissions and compliance requirements;
• Own reliable transport.
