Job Summary:
The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment. This role involves locating items, picking them according to order specifications, and ensuring that orders are complete and ready for shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve products from designated storage areas based on order sheets or electronic instructions.


• Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order requirements.


• Pack items securely to prevent damage during transportation.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.


• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, if required and properly trained.


• Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.


• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures at all times.


• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.


• Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in order picking, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.


• Ability to read and understand order documents and labeling systems.


• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move items, sometimes weighing up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs].


• Basic math skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or overtime, as needed.


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
