We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Site Manager to join a dynamic construction team based in Randburg. This dual-role position requires a professional who can effectively manage project costs while overseeing on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying (Cost Management):
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts
• Conduct measurements and valuations of work completed on-site
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial efficiency
• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and appointing subcontractors
• Evaluate and certify contractor and supplier invoices
• Prepare and submit progress claims and final accounts
Site Management:
• Oversee daily site operations and construction activities
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labour, and suppliers
• Monitor progress and ensure alignment with project plans
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work quality
Quality, Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and standards
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures on-site
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Identify and resolve any site issues, delays, or risks
Stakeholder Management:
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, and timelines
• Attend and lead site meetings where required
Required Skills
- Quantity Surveyor Skills: 5 to 6 years
- Financial And Cost Control Skills: 5 to 6 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry
• Proven experience in both cost management and site supervision
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and project lifecycle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant construction/project software

• Excellent leadership and site management ability
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel to sites if required
• Ability to work flexible hours depending on project demands
