Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and creative Food Experience Manager to drive and elevate the culinary experience across our Zambezi Region Camps operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for food and a clear focus on consistency, quality and execution, ensuring food experiences are achievable, sustainable and aligned with guest expectations, while developing strong, accountable teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the full guest food experience across assigned camps, aligned with the overall brand vision.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, service flow and standards
- Manage and train front-of-house staff on food and beverage offerings, service standards and guest engagement.
- Strengthen kitchen and service systems, including hygiene and operational standards.
- Support procurement, cost control and waste reduction initiatives by monitoring and managing food costs, inventory and waste to ensure profitability and sustainability.
- Monitor and evaluate guest feedback, using insights to continuously improve and refine the food experience.
- Provide clear reporting and regional support to Group Leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within high-end restaurants, luxury hospitality or remote safari camp environments.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu development, pricing and costing.
- Strong cooking ability with excellent plating and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in training and developing kitchen teams.
- Strong computer literacy, including Excel for costing, reporting and analysis.
- Comfortable working hands-on in remote camp environments.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven leadership ability and experience working with diverse teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple camps.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
