Job Purpose

Komatsu Finance Africa (KCFA) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Specialist: Retail Funding Sales to drive profitable finance sales, grow market share, and support the commercialization of Komatsu products (including Reman).This role is responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex retail funding transactions in close collaboration with operational sales teams and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Achieve profitable retail funding sales targets aligned to business strategy
Support the development and execution of retail funding marketing and sales plans
Identify viable new and existing customers using financial and market data
Collaborate closely with operational sales teams to deliver integrated funding solutions

Deal Structuring & Credit Management

Structure and price retail funding deals in line with risk and profitability appetite
Prepare funding quotations and submit proposals to the Credit Committee for approval
Negotiate complex, high‑value finance transactions with customers and internal stakeholders
Ensure all deals comply with internal policies, governance standards, and legislation

Portfolio & Risk Management

Monitor customer accounts, payment performance, and arrears within delegated authority
Follow up on outstanding debt and put remediation plans in place where required
Identify and flag potential defaults or bad‑debt risks for escalation and resolution

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Track KPIs, metrics, and market share performance
Report on retail funding sales performance, outstanding debt, and portfolio health
Measure effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives against actual outcomes

Sap Fi: 3 to 4 years
Gaap: 3 to 4 years
JSOX : 3 to 4 years
FAIS Act: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field (NQF Level 7)
RE5 FAIS Certification (required)

Experience

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in retail funding / credit lending
Proven track record in financing large capital equipment (advantageous)
Demonstrated success negotiating large and complex financial transactions

Technical & Professional Knowledge

Strong financial acumen (amortisation, interest rates, guarantees, collateral, bad‑debt provisions)
Thorough understanding of FAIS Act, Companies Act, VAT legislation, and corporate governance
Knowledge of GAAP and JSOX compliance frameworks
Exposure to the mining or earth‑moving equipment industry (advantageous)

Systems & Tools

Advanced MS PowerPoint
Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
Working knowledge of SAP FI
