Our client, an established supply chain company, is seeking to employ a detail-oriented Cost Analyst / Cost Accountant to join their cost accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics). 1 – 3 Years’ experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or finance will count in your favour.

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and curious individual to join their Costing Team. This role is ideal for someone with an operational background (logistics, supply chain, stock control, or exports) and who is interested in developing into a more financial and analytical role.

You will work closely with the operations and finance teams to understand, track, and analyse the costs involved in exporting fruit.

Over time, you will build a strong understanding of cost structures and contribute to improving how to calculate, manage, and report on costs.

This is a great opportunity to transition into cost accounting while using your operational experience to add business value.

Duties:

Capture and validate cost data across the export supply chain
Analyse cost movements and identify discrepancies or trends
Assist in building and improving costing models and tools
Work with operational teams (logistics, procurement, stock) to understand cost drivers
Support the automation and improvement of costing processes
Contribute to reporting that helps the business make better decisions

My client will look at candidates from both finance and operations backgrounds, particularly:

Logistics Coordinators
Supply Chain or Stock Controllers
Export or Operations Administrators
Junior Analysts with strong Excel skills

Requirements:

Relevant degree or diploma (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics) is beneficial
1 – 3 Years’ experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or finance
Exposure to costing, reporting, or data analysis is beneficial but not required
Experience in fruit exports or agriculture is an advantage

Advantageous but not required:

Exposure to Power BI or reporting tools
Experience working with large datasets
Interest in automation or process improvement
