Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and certify complex electrical installations, ensuring all work adheres to SANS 10142-1 and relevant regulatory standards.

• Manage large-scale projects within specialized industrial sectors, focusing on hazardous area compliance.

• Conduct thorough inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) for industrial and specialized electrical systems.

• Lead on-site teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate electrical faults in high-pressure environments.

Requirements

• Professional Status: Must be a Department of Employment and Labour registered Master Installation Electrician (MIE).

• Experience: Proven track record in the petrochemical, oil and gas, or a related heavy industrial sector is essential.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hazardous area classifications and specialized electrical infrastructure.

• Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

• Attributes: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to rigorous safety standards.

Important Information (NB)

• This role requires extensive knowledge of specialized electrical installations beyond standard commercial or residential work.

• Experience with explosive atmospheres and intrinsic safety protocols is highly advantageous.
