The Rhodes University Mathematics Education Project invite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives
To ensure the smooth coordination of the collegial cluster project in all its facets.
Deliver high-quality teaching and research within the program.
Deliver accurate reporting on the cluster coordination and maintain records of the related activities.
The Requirement
A relevant Teachers Qualification (NQF 7) coupled with 5 years of classroom Mathematics Education experience, which includes: -
- Teaching experience as a classroom mathematics teacher up to grade 10
- Experience with the facilitation of learning to adults will be an advantage
- Exposure to the field of Mathematics Education by working in rural communities in a teacher professional development program
- Coordination of a professional development program
- Previous experience writing reports
- Previous experience setting exams and assessments, including the written evaluation thereof
- Previous experience in conducting site visits as part of assessment
- A record of academic writing would be an advantage
- A valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate in IsiXhosa

Remuneration per annum (Grade 12):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R490,320.00
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R464,758.00
