Our client in the mining sector is recruiting for a Senior Civil / Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding Engineering Sciences and Project Delivery capability across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and India. This opportunity is suited to an experienced engineer with strong civil and geotechnical engineering exposure within mining, infrastructure, energy, or industrial project environments.
The successful candidate will support multidisciplinary project delivery across geotechnical investigations, earthworks, foundations, slope stability, infrastructure and civil engineering design while engaging directly with clients and supporting the growth of the regional geotechnical capability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead advanced civil and geotechnical engineering studies aligned to project scope and delivery requirements
• Perform conceptual and detailed civil/geotechnical engineering design
• Support geotechnical investigations, ground engineering assessments and technical reporting
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews and multidisciplinary engineering coordination
• Prepare and/or review project procedures, technical specifications and design criteria
• Develop factual and interpretive geotechnical reports
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical memorandums and reports
• Scope, manage and participate in field investigations and site activities
• Provide specialized geotechnical and civil engineering advice across projects
• Support engineering, operating and capital cost estimates
• Ensure technical experts are engaged appropriately across projects and global teams
• Support project delivery across mining, infrastructure and industrial projects
• Engage directly with clients and support business development activities
• Participate in proposal and tender support activities
• Provide technical support to site engineering teams and respond to technical queries
• Assist with the sustainable growth of the geotechnical discipline within the region
• Support construction supervision and project implementation activities where required
• Review and evaluate technical work prepared by engineers and designers
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, engineering standards and safety in design principles
• Promote quality, technical integrity and safe engineering practices throughout project execution
