The General Dutyman plays a vital role within the operations team, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the DA Plant. This position requires active participation in plant operations, adherence to safety and quality standards, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational protocols. The role supports the continuous production process and contributes to the overall efficiency and safety of the plant. The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

1. Support the overall operation of the DA Plant to maintain seamless production processes.

2. Actively engage in safety and quality programs, including BSP, to uphold standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Oversee the efficient and effective operation of water treatment processes and lime pits, ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational protocols.

4. Execute assigned tasks within the Acetylene Plant while adhering to established operational standards and safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

1. Must have a Matric qualification with Mathematics and Science.

2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the Gas industry or a related field.

3. Ability to perform physical tasks and work overtime when necessary.

4. Willingness to work within a shift system is essential.

5. Must be self-reliant and capable of working with minimal supervision.

6. Needs to be deadline-oriented and able to perform under pressure.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
